THOMSON - The McDuffie County School Board on Monday hired Milan Turner as Thomson High School's football coach.

THOMSON - A Thomson man has been found guilty in the deaths of his girlfriend and her sister and the sister's unborn child.

Two of the three Warren County school board members who were removed from office by then-Gov. Sonny Perdue last year have filed a lawsuit against the Warren County Board of Education and the Warren County Board of Elections.

The following is a list of persons arrested for various criminal and traffic offenses by area law enforcement authorities and taken to the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center in Thomson. They include:

AUGUSTA -- The Lady Bulldogs of Thomson High School pressed the host Eagles of T.W. Josey High School down to the buzzer, but came up short Friday, 40-38.
